ZERO STARS The WORST Moving Company in the Histoy of Movers

DO NOT BOOK MOVING MANIA – ZERO STARS

My mother used Moving Mania for an out-of-state move in May 2024. The result was a disaster: 20 large pieces of furniture arrived completely broken, many beyond repair. Legs snapped off antique chairs, chunks of wood missing from armoires, corners crushed on vintage dressers, holes punched straight through caned seats, scratches, paint gouges, torn leather seams—you name it, they damaged it.

Filing a claim has been just as bad. For 16 months we’ve gotten nothing but excuses: “We never got your photos,” “We never received your list,” “Your email didn’t come through.” The phone is never answered, emails go unanswered, and on the rare occasion someone picks up, they lie, stall, or demand more “proof” while doing absolutely nothing to resolve the claim.

Customer service is non-existent. Debbie, in particular, has been dishonest, evasive, and flat-out unhelpful—making an already terrible experience even worse.

Whatever you do, do not use Moving Mania. They are careless with belongings, impossible to reach afterward, and offer zero accountability. A complete nightmare of a company.

Move from NC to Ny

Worked thru a broker who (first mistake) who choose moving mania(second mistake) moving from NC to NY. Showed up at 11:00 0n 5 /7 and proceeded to take inventory before loading (already went thru this with the broker). Moving Mania said there was more items the before ( BS) cost us another $3000. didn't finish loading until 5:30 that afternoon. The truck was a 26" van and it was fully loaded with only our stuff. When I called for delvy I was told it would be in a few days as they were coming from Kentucky ? Why ? They called and said they would be In NY around 1 to 4 on 5/12 ( Happy Mothers day). Showed up in a different van at 5:30 with only a driver . Had to divert to a storage unit first because they loaded the van wrong. Told only the drive could unload due to insurance regs. We helped the driver anyway. Showed up the next 5/13 around 10:00 with a zombie day laborer who didn't speak English They couldn't get the couch in the apt. Had to get the apt Maintenace crew to show them how to get the couch into the apartment. Had a missing cooler and some items were broken. If you ever n think about using these %%$$$,put a gun to your head it will less painful

My Move

From my search to my pick up, Moving Mania was fantastic. Whenever I had a question or even a thought, someone was there to answer. The week of my move, I got a call from Debi who went over everything in detail with me, from my inventory to my move in date and time. When moving day was here, I got a call at exactly when I was told telling me the movers were about an hour out. They called again when they were about 5 minutes out so I could meet them and have the pull in the service entrance for my apt building. When they arrived, they came up and double checked the inventory. There were some additional charges, but I am aware this happens as things can't always be described perfectly on the phone.I also know they have to ensure they have room for everything in their truck so if my item size and amounts don't match the initial inventory, they will have to do quite a bit of rearranging. Plus, the wrapping of my furniture adds extra costs and I appreciate it as I don't want anything broken! Debi (who is a rockstar by the way!) called again during the pick up move to triple check everything and sent me everything via email to sign off on. Moving is an extremely stressful process and the fact that I just got to sit back and have these gentlemen take care of this for me is a true luxury. It has taken so much off my plate and I cannot thank this team enough for their work!

AVOID THIS COMPANY

When you get there, buy new things. Driving your own UHaul is the only way to avoid scams. Sadly, all of these moving companies play the cash scam game. MoveNShip says "the headboard is included with the mattress," only to find out after doing a visual walkthrough that you have 500 square feet more. Additionally, MoveNShip doesn't send you the Bill of Latting until the day of the move, so you don't know who is moving your stuff. Request one ahead of time and make sure your deposit has a 3-day cancellation period. A 26 foot box truck arrived, and I spoke with a person named Deb after the walkthrough who told me it would cost another $4,500 and that the payment had to be made via Zelle or Cash App. The movers packed everything carefully. Deb told me they just loaded up in Florida on Thursday. As a result, this company does not even start the next day. It takes at least three days to get started. I called the day before and told them there would be two stops. Ours and another across the complex. She got confrontational and said, "Well, I wasn't advised about anything." I apologize Deb, I guess you didn't get the original contract. Your broker also scams you for more money by not telling you your stuff is loaded on a 55 foot semi truck. What does this mean? They will show up at your apartment complex and tell you that they cannot enter. It cost us an additional $1,250 and $100 for the shuttle service. Additionally, the guy wanted cash for the two local movers. I drew a line. In Deb's words, "US Post Office Money Orders are accepted, so I'll use those." It took two hours to finish, and the payment was accepted. We went from the original quote with two stops at $5400 to now $11,236. Take their quote and double it at the very least. Buying new will save you a lot of stress.

Your things will be broken and they will reimburse you the minimum

I moved across the country. It took them 50 days to deliver my belongings.

The people they had to pack my things seemed careless in the way they handled my belongings, for example, they applied packing tape to the fabric of furniture I owned which ruined the fabric. They also charged extra to wrap cardboard around my television, which to them, apparently is worth more than 100 dollars.

My things arrived mostly fine. The movers (not the same set of people) were mostly nice and they seemed to handle my possessions fine. So I suppose the following occurred in transit. The company broke a bookcase, a table, a water heater, rendering them all unusable. They lost a lampshade, a bunch of screws and frames which rendered some objects unusable. There were damages to my other belongings, scrapes, ruined fabric, cracks in wood, etc. Damages of all the unusable things by themselves is roughly 370 dollars. I am uncertain how to value the damage that did not render my things unusable, but let's say its another 50 dollars to be modest. The company only covered 75 dollars, which is the minimum they have to cover under an insurance agreement that a broker lied about.

I would not trust these people. You're better off trying to sell your more valuable furniture.

Don't use this company.

Dave was a great salesman - personable, helpful, promising careful handling of our valued possessions. I was given a good price and a reasonable delivery date. I understood that it would take time to combine my boxes with others on a semi that would make several stops along between Florida and Oklahoma. But the promise was made to have things delivered so my father's assisted living room would be ready when he arried. In order to have them there, I shipped everything a week and a 1/2 before the move and camped out in a bare apartment. After the paperwork was signed, no one cared any more about integrity. Our items arrived 6 days after the promised date, causing us to scramble to rent my father a bed to sleep in until his things arrived. When I called to check the progress of the shipment, I was passed from the sales office to the dispatch office to the driver. I was even told by an office worker that my 94-yr-old father would just have to sleep on the floor until the truck arrived. They lost one box that contained my father's framed Navy discharge paper and wall plaques. The price went up considerably when the movers arrived to pick up our items. I only moved personal items, a rocker, and a twin bed, and I packed all the boxes myself, but look at the cost!

Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Never Again.

First off, the only reason I'm giving this company 1 star is because of Nikki, she tried to help me out and give me correct information. At first I was happy to find this place they seemed so genuine but then it all started going downhill. I was told by Alex it takes only 3-4 days, I asked because other companies I called said about 2 weeks so I made sure to clarify that, because as I explained to them I'm in the military and I needed my stuff asap as I had to start work on 9/29. My stuff was picked up on 9/20/17 and they asked when I needed it I said on 9/26/17 is fine, the guy even asked if 9/25/17 was better I said no I don't want you guys showing up and I'm not there my flight was for that day. I signed the paperwork and on it they put estimated delivery 9/26/17. I called on 9/27 to see what was going on, I was told my stuff was just leaving Florida that day and should be there by the weekend, wow okay so they're behind an no one bothered to call okay. I patiently waited, the weekend came, nothing. Monday came around and I waited on them to call, still nothing so I called Tuesday 10/04/17. They answered saying they were just about to call me and my stuff is getting put on the truck now. My mouth dropped,I didn't know what to say,I asked "getting on the truck in florida"? A week before that I was told my stuff was leaving, now they're just getting put on the truck to leave Florida I was in disbelief, I was heated but again I took it and said okay and waited..again. Again the weekend came around and nothing. I tried calling on Monday 10/09/17 which was Columbus day so I guess they were closed because I got no answer. I called back on Tuesday, again no answer went online and found another number for them and called and finally got an answer, by this time I was really upset and inquired when I would actually get my stuff or if I would ever get it. The driver actually contacted me on Monday to set up delivery for Tuesday but I called the company to figure out why it took so long and tell them how they had cost me more money since I was here for what was now 2 weeks without my stuff, haven't been to work and had to buy some stuff I already had and keep buying food. Wish I had gotten the guys name but was too upset then to care, he got on the phone and I asked why I was given a delivery date if they couldn't deliver, he went on to tell me no one promised me delivery that day when my paperwork said it, he said that was just an estimated delivery date and the company had 21 days to delivery my stuff I should've read before I gave my electronic signature when I made my first payment. I was stunned and went on to tell him how they're unfair why would they ask when you want things delivered when they just did what they wanted. Long story short, he couldn't handle it so he put someone else on the phone who he had try to make a deal, more like blackmail. The "deal" was I would be given a discount which before they disclosed, I had to promise not to write a review as I had promised to write one exposing their madness when that guy tried to tell me no one promised me any delivery date, now tell me would anyone just give their stuff to a moving company with no promise of a delivery date, I'm not that foolish. Come to find out they were trying to give me a $35 "discount" not to write a review, In my angry state, I had to laugh. $35, really? I politely declined, I felt like that was an insult, compared to the extra money I spent and for my troubles. Even though the driver set up delivery to be made between 12 and 3pm on 10/10/17 he wasn't here until about 6pm, still late but I got my stuff, haven't unpacked all my stuff as yet hopefully all is in tact, one of my reusable storage boxes cover had some cracks but the stuff inside seems fine, thank God,I'm just happy my things are finally here, even if it's 2 weeks after. I'm finally able to go to work tomorrow, well prepared. I had a bad experience with Moving Mania Inc but I felt like it could've been avoided with better communication, all they had to do was tell me it takes that long or about this "so call" 21 day delivery window so I could've shipped my things earlier. I shipped my car with another company on 9/22/17 and I got it the night I arrived on 9/25/17, I'm just saying. And after they realized my stuff wouldn't be here on 9/26 they could've simply called and updated me on what was going on, because of the service I received I won't be using them again or referring them to anyone I know.

Most horrible experience EVER,they lied to us that they will take 3-5 days maximum but they took 3.5 weeks,we had to buy air mattresses and new clothes with my family and sleep on the floor, that before dumping part of my Total Gym equipment and my kids bounce house in the trash, its my neirbour who found them and called me..RUN THE OTHER WAY WHEN YOU SEE THEM. We were going to sue them but we decided we don't want any more stress from them we'd or give them any more attention we better off move on, and they raised their price when they came to pick up our stuff..

Stay away from this company.

Horrible company! Stay away. Our stuff didn't arrive until 2 weeks after what we put as our delivery date. The boxes looked like someone had slammed them around and kicked them. Every single fragile thing in them was broken. Every picture frame and wine glass, despite being wrapped in clothing and towels, was shatteted. On top of that, the delivery driver at our destination held our boxes hostage until we paid him an additional and unexpected $300. This company should be prosecuted.

Class Action Lawsuit Against Moving Mania Should Be Made!

This review is an attempt to make sure potential customers know do not use Moving Mania Inc., as moving should be a pleasant experience and it will not be with them. Avoid the stress & failures of promised services, prices, and unethical treatment. Go with a company with reviews that show they care for their customers. It has been over a year of fighting claims with their companies and after $10,000 in damages, missing items, and stress they offered me $80! My hope is to get a lawyer involved in a class-action suit against them as they have hundreds of angry customers over the past few years with people being bullied into paying way more than their quotes. Read the endless negative reviews on the BBB and moving company sites. They have a reputation for dishonesty, negligence, & unethical business practices. This experience is still emotional for me after over a year of battling major negligence & fraudulent behavior.

In July of 2018 I got a $1300 quote from Tom Parker for my move from Florida to Colorado. But when Vitali (head mover) unpleasantly arrived the price went from $1200 to over $3000! He then attempted to get me to sign their contract before all items were accounted for & packed. How shady is that to try and charge me more before they are even done?! I call Moving Mania and speak with Phyllis Ann, another rep. Her excuse was that Tom is a sales person and miscalculated the quote & should have charged by cubic meter, not by weight. How is this my problem and not your mistake? And how can you make a mistake that costs me over $1700?! As we argue Vitali starts moving my things into their truck. He falsely wrote items on the contract they claimed to have packed & measured, adding more space on their truck. Vitali yells at me and then gets on with Lior Anuiz, the owner, yelling in Russian. I watched him lie & claim things were bigger than they were & that they packed more boxes than they actually did. He begrudgingly puts me on the phone with the owner, Lior Anuiz who accepts this unethical behavior. After almost an hour of arguing they start yelling, cursing, & eventually threaten to keep my $500 deposit and “throw my sh*t out of their truck” if I don’t pay. They also charged me a long-carry fee for no reason, as 75 feet were included free. I have a flight to Colorado the next day & have no time left. They brought it down to $2800, and left me no choice other than to agree to the new charge.

They arrive 15 days late with much of furniture & valuables broken, moldy, completely destroyed, and stolen! They claim to keep things air-conditioned, but items were discolored, ruined, & smelly from liquid & heat damage. This was negligence, disrespect, & revenge for me not signing the paperwork and arguing for an hour about overcharging. They ripped off the legs from my dresser, recklessly wrapped the items they actually did pack from furniture to clothing, dented furniture, & destroyed boxes, which they opened to steal things from. They tried to blame Ocean Mania claiming it was them since they were the ones who moved things into the final truck. But the gentleman who arrived was pleasant & helpful. He saw how upset I was as I opened boxes & took photos as proof. He said this was not uncommon with Moving Mania to blame others for their negligence and theft. There were missing items on a different truck, which I got days later. I emailed Phyllis, Lorraine, Tom, and Lior Anuiz who all ignored my apparent distress for this awful experience. After a few days, I demanded something be done by the owners yet no one responded. It took me months to get the claims process going, as they make it nearly impossible to get it done in one go. After an entire year fighting for my damaged and stolen things, on July of 2019, they offer me $80. Moving Mania should not be in business & I hope they get sued and shut down so no more damage can be done to innocent customers looking for a happy moving experience….

Moving Mania.

Used Moving Mania for a cross country move. Should have known they were too slick in the sales process. Had items stolen, damaged and missing. Their third-party claims process is a joke. They make it impossible to complete the claim. If you have one thing missing on their pages and pages of documents, you can't correct it, you must completely do it over. I first had to send a dozen emails just to find out what was missing. They send links that are misleading..like, "continue the claims process". They charged me for 1795 cubic feet of truck, but I used 1400, and with photo evidence, they ignored me. (They had a transfer truck pick up my move, and based the cost on a 50 mile load, versus a 2700 mile load. BS!! Crooks one and all. NEVER use them.

Damaged antique rocking chair

We used moving mania to move my mother from Florida to Massachusetts. They were wonderful with packing up belongings but delivery was another story. Items were packed in one truck and transferred somewhere along line to another truck. Delivery was on a day I couldn’t be there, but my mother was (79 years old). They charged her 300 extra for a long delivery - (in apt building). They delivered her mother’s antique rocking chair in pieces - with bolts and duct tape to hold together. Then at end asked her for a tip! Went to put in a claim but saw only would get $30 for an irreplaceable chair. Not sure what kind of “repair” job they thought they were doing. No apology or explanation. Just left against a wall in her living room in pieces. So basically saying their insurance is a joke not worth all the steps to file the claim. So sad to lose a family heirloom but nothing we can do

Long-distance move from California to Florida

Bottom of the barrel.

Horrible service.. Between them and their partner company (GPS Moving from California) they botched the cross country move in every way. They are rude. They delivered late. There were 5 boxes missing. The were 2 broken mirrors. Both headboards of the two bedroom sets shipped were broken/ruined. More than 3/4 of the glassware was broken. There was one box (full of perishables) which didn't even belong to me. Plenty of items missing/stolen from drawers like: 2 watches (seiko and Armani) a pandora bracelet, an iPod, and more.. You can tell that the rummaged through our drawers. It was horrible service. Just horrible.

And that's the move itself. Their "customer service", for lack of a better term, is wanting (not to say nonexistent.) The owner is rude beyond belief and with a sense of entitlement that borders a God complex. Which is funny bc he comes off as rather unintelligent. They treat you as ingrates who owe them instead of a paying customer. Better Business Bureau doesn't even recognize them as a bona fide business. I dread they day GPS Moving subcontracted them.

Long-distance move from Colorado to Virginia

Do Not Use This Company.

I am a single woman who has very little experience with moving, having done it only once in the last 32 years. My move was from Colorado to Virginia. I contracted Moving Mania, Inc. in May of 2015. This company is based out of Colorado and Florida. The company address is 4485 Sterling Rd, Suite 206, Dania Beach, FL 33314. My reference no: T2258808
Prior to moving, I reduced my belongings by 75% by having an estate sale. I was shipping approximately 3 rooms of furniture after the downsize, but that 25% represented the best and most precious of my personal items.
In anticipation of the move, I read the blogs to become more informed but it was not happy reading. Everything I looked up said companies would be super friendly and helpful up front, but that the service would drop off from there on. In the end I had to pick somebody and I went with Moving Mania because the initial price estimate seemed lower than the others I had called. That is what happened to me. My purpose is to warn others of how this particular company does business and to consider somebody else if you need use a moving service.
I had a lot of trouble selling my house in Denver which I did not anticipate in the booming Denver market. It went on the market in June and did not sell until late November. Moving Mania stored my items for free for 70 days at some undisclosed warehouse location in Denver. After the free period, it was $450 a month for my 3 rooms of furniture to sit in that warehouse. My final bill was close to $11,000.
I knew it was going to be expensive but never anticipated that expensive. The sales rep from Moving Mania was Chris Simmons. He was very friendly, empathetic, and outgoing when I contracted for services in May and he explained over the phone that it sounded like I had about $3500 worth of items to move. That price ended up twice as much based on what I shipped (??) and the additional expense was for my items in storage from August 2015 to January 2016. As time wore on, he would call once a month because he had to get the credit card number every month to charge for the storage. His enthusiasm waned, lots of phone tag, and towards the end when the problems cropped up, not much contact at all. I told everyone from Chris, my “rep”, to Leo the dispatcher MANY TIMES MANY TIMES, do not deliver until after Feb 1 as I will not have the key to the house in Virginia until then.
A truck driver calls in mid January to tell me he’s in Virginia and coming the next day at 8:00 a.m. when I did not even have a key to the new house yet – a full two weeks early despite what I had told them all from the beginning. I told the driver I could not accept delivery without a house! Chris stepped back from being so friendly, and he was not helpful, and now he doesn’t return phone calls or write back so I guess this is how it works.
It is from this point forward that Moving Mania really screwed me over. My stuff went to New Jersey off of that truck and got stored somewhere else, but I did not piece this together until much later. Finally completely unpacked a month later, I know that many of my “this side up”/FRAGILE boxes were flipped over and items broken. At some point between Denver and New Jersey and Virginia, many items went missing as well.
I got off of work so that I could meet the truck driver to collect my stuff on my scheduled delivery day. Unfortunately the weather was bad so this person just did not show up. I finally got a phone call around 5pm to tell me he would be there tomorrow which was a work day for me. I met them the next day at 3PM in 22 degrees weather. The new truck driver (from New Jersey) had a crew he had never met who barely spoke to each other. My job was to flip through 10 sheets of paper and check off the box number as they put it in my garage. It was dark by 4:30. I had not seen any of my stuff for 8 months and did not exactly remember what was in every box.
It took me awhile to realize how many items were missing because I have unpacked myself by myself so it goes slowly. As soon as I realized that items were missing I again tried to contact Chris Simmons. His colleague, Omy Pagan, called back a couple of times but basically told me nothing had turned up and I had signed the contract without additional insurance so the most they would cover was 60 cents a pound. I even had somebody else’s stuff mixed in with mine! A computer and a shelving system that are NOT mine! I tried to tell Moving Mania about that too, but Moving Mania, Inc. was just not interested in my missing items or the items I did not own that shipped with my stuff.. Here's what I lost:
I had 11 of these Utopia Rubber Doormat (2' x 3') @ $47 each
I had two of these:
Rubber-Cal 'Liverpool' Rubber Cast Iron Entrance Mat @ $42 each
Dyson v6 Mattress Handheld Vaccum $246.00
Dyson V6 Absolute Cord-free Vacuum $472.00
Sonicare electric toothbrush
None of my pots and pans for the kitchen made it either.
An ottoman - no point in trying to value because it was an IKEA piece from 25 years ago, no longer made, and I had just had it reupholstered before I left Denver to move. The emotional component of losing something you treasure does definitely not factor in to anything that Moving Mania, Inc. ever considers. That much I’m sure of.
I am so angry, disappointed, and disgusted with this company. At this point, I just want other people to know that this is how my move went and unpacking the mess Moving Mania made of my stuff and figuring what is no longer there is really unpleasant. DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS!

Long-distance move from Colorado to Florida

Best Movers I've Ever Used!

God only knows with my busy life and work schedule I have little time to research companies online much less write an review about one but the superior customer service and the quality care that this moving company had taken in handling our family's belongings on our move from Denver to our new home in Orlando inspired me to make an exception and brag an little about my experience with Moving Mania and hopefully some of the rest of the world will find out what an outstanding company Moving Mania truly is! I was an little nervous calling any moving company I've never used before and since we have an extremely large household I've always in the past placed our belongings in the hands of one of the more well known moving companies they've always done an wonderful job in the past but have always seemed so expensive and of course everyone is trying to save money nowadays right? You just have to when you're growing an family! Me and my wife were discussing possibly on how there might just be an better way and we were talking about various moving companies we've seen or heard about and the best direction we might take with our move. Actually one of our relatives introduced us to this company they had used Moving Mania over 5 years ago and  had nothing but great things to say about them so the call was made to see if this company was up for the job we were relocating very quickly so actually that was one of our concerns if any moving company could move us when needed? I must tell you most of the credit for this wonderful experience must go to our sales person Chris from the moment he took my call and started listening to what we were looking for I felt completely comfortable with him it seemed like this guy had been in this business all his life the main thing that impressed me most was the little extras he spoke with me about on our move and the simple fact that this person actually cared about what we wanted and and most importantly needed! It seemed like his main goal was to make this an enjoyable experience and we all know how much fun moving can be right? Truly representing his company he honestly sounded like he was trying to go the extra mile to earn my business and that has always  impressed me with anyone I've ever dealt with! He made me feel as if we were working together as an team!I asked Chris if in the short notice offered if it was still possible for their movers to pack everything including our boxes and he reassured me they have an full crew on all of their trucks and they'll be able to offer any services needed! He completely covered all the details and thinking back now I must have drove the guy crazy we must have had at least 10 conversations together going over our list of items over and over again until we were both comfortable that everything was as correct as possible and he always spoke of ways for us to save the most money and try to make our move cost effective for our family! Not once did Chris ever sound annoyed or implied that he was impatient with us even though I know this moving company must have many other customers we always felt his sole attention on us this was the main reason they earned our business! And the best part is their company's estimate on our move was over $2,000 less than what we've paid for in the past with the other moving companies we've dealt moving the same amount of items needless to say me and my wife were ecstatic! Part of us both were thinking ok everything has been great so far but let's see when the movers arrive but Chris kept reassuring us that he was always there for anything we needed and to make sure the move continued like clockwork! On the big day of our move Moving Mania's crew showed up actually an hour earlier than what was planned which was fine with us because our family was eager to be on it's way and we had an long drive ahead of us! All five of the movers treated us very professionally and respectful. Daniel I guess he was the supervisor for the crew went over everything that was going to be done for us that day answering every question we may have had very courteous and politely and I received the same impression as with our conversations with Chris that Daniel had been doing this for many years both my wife and myself were commenting to each other in the car as we left them to continue their work what confidence these two guys have in what they do and how they take care of their customers we both and our whole family felt so pleased that we've chosen their company! It's an little scary placing your livelihood in someone else's hands but with this company they made us feel like we had no worries talk about an stress relief!  As we made our long drive to our new home we called Chris and Moving Mania many times he was always happy to give us an status updates and I knew if any issues during the process were to come up I know he and the company would solve them complete peace of mind! Our crew arrived an week after we had arrived but an couple of days before our planned meeting and move in date with them our family was so happy to have our belongings again same as when our things had been loaded on their truck the guys took the most utmost care unloading everything and making sure all of us were happy with their placement. Other than an couple of things that had obviously moved around an little on their truck after all it is moving after all not one single item was damaged and as everything was gradually unwrapped we could fully understand the reason for this as we saw how our items had been so carefully cared for and gently placed on their truck in the first place! What an fantastic moving company I'll always be more than happy to tell all my family, friends, and co-workers about them and their quality work and considerate customer service! My hat comes off to both Chris and Daniel for their guidance and knowledge that resulted in such an easy move for our family and the other fine workers at Moving Mania thanks again!

Worst mistake I ever made.

I sent on the updated inventory on Jun 7th. They said it was still under the weight class so it wouldn’t be an extra charge. After much argument on when to pick my stuff up they arrived 5 hours late to pick up on the 10th. They tried not to show up on the 10th saying a road was closed. Called me and said what do you want to. Do? I said what ever, get here. They said we only give you one flight of stairs so you have to pay for 2 flights at $150. The guy says I know you got it.
Then since they didn’t update my inventory, which was only 5 small things they added $150.Then they send me another bill today that has $464.12 of which that they said since they had to use a smaller truck to deliver that is $350. And they added $100 for an elevator fee. Don’t forget it was 150 for steps. Then after you put a down payment they said you assumed it would be delivered same day. 3 or 4 days later for a 3 hour drive. Told they would head down here Monday and when called they said next dayNow a complete 2 days and they have not delivered. And if you don’t pay cash they wont deliver.
People. Do yourself a favor. If you have less than 2500 in furniture, sell it, or give it away. Cause if you call this place you are giving away that money. I learned my lesson and should’ve done extensive research. I have not been this pissed in decades. If you don’t want stress, then don’t call. You will remember what I said if you do. I already contacted the BBB and a lawyer. All the military I run into I steer them far away from this crack job. This job started at 1300 (for 2 couches, one bed, and 8 boxes and one extremely small dinner table). In the end that turned into 2100. And yes 2 dinner table chairs. Screws missing on the back. They didn't just fall out.

Long-distance move from Naples, FL to Collegeville, PA

Bait & Switch.

We received an estimate from Moving Mania for our inventory of goods. The driver was suppose to arrive between 2pm - 5pm. No call was received from Moving Mania when they had not shown by 5pm. Upon many follow-up phone calls, the moving crew eventually arrived after 8pm.

Upon arrival, the foreman identified that there was one item we were asking to move that was not on our original list, a night stand. We confirmed with the driver that they were not to move the night stand so that the only items they would be moving were those on the original list.

The foreman then said that there was more square cubic feet then the original estimate, even though all the items were clearly identified on his inventory. He proceeded to tell us that the estimate would need to increase 50%, again, with no change in the inventory. We made several calls and eventually reached the "Boss" as he called himself. He stated there was no options, we either agree to their 50% increase in the estimate of size of the load, or they would leave.

We refused to be taken advantage of and did not agree to the increase and the movers left.

Two days later, we were contacted by Moving Mania and offered a refund of our deposit, but the story written up by their customer service representative was not accurate.

I want to warn other consumers of this company and their low-ball estimates to get the job, then their practice of increasing the estimate once they arrive and leaving the consumer in the position of having to accept the higher cost, or not get their goods moved.

Long-distance move from Florida to California

Thank you Moving Mania.

So moving in the past was a nightmare and I was very careful choosing the right companie for my move, Alex the sales guy was the best part in this process starting by getting an accurate list and then call to confirm that there is no change on my list.
On the day of the move, I had 6 extra boxes that I had and the price went up little bit about 150 dollars more I didn't like it but it's been explained up front and that what I like they gave me the option what to do so for that I am giving them five star .
I moved to Ca work-related.
Thank you guys great job!

Long-distance move from Delray Beach, FL to Peabody, MA

Theft During Move.

Beware of these movers. As they packed what we were moving they talked among themselves about our fine pieces of artwork, figurines and other valuable items, including sterling silver dinner ware and assortment of other sterling silver items. What a surprise when our boxes were delivered all those boxes had gone missing. If you use them be prepared for what you are getting into. Read all the other reviews. The only good ones are the ones the wrote themselves I am sure.

Long-distance move from Sebring, FL to Casa Grande, AZ

Poor service & failure to fulfill contract.

We contracted with Moving Mania to transport an item from Florida to Arizona. They arrived several days late to pick up the item and failed to bring the equipment verbally agreed upon to move it safely. They guaranteed delivery within 7-10 days. They contracted us at the end of that time telling us it had yet to be shipped. Seventeen days later, we received a call saying it would be delivered the following day & demanding cash payment in full prior to allowing us to inspect the item & saying it might have been damaged in transit. When my husband said he wanted to see it first, he received a call from a man who identified himself as Lior who immediately became verbally abusive insisting payment be made before the truck would be opened &, after calling my husband several vulgar names, hung up. He called back & told us since we had disagreed with him, we would be responsible for getting it off the truck & placing it where the contract said it was to go. When told we insisted he comply with the contract, he said he was just going to take it to Phoenix and sell it. The next time he called, I answered and he screamed at me and was verbally abusive. He proceeded to threaten me & told me there would be an unspecified additional charge and the item would be offloaded into our driveway & we could move it from there. When I asked his name, he said my husband knew. I asked the name of the company he was driving for and was told it was on the contract. In anticipation of having to deal with him in person, we arranged for a friend to be here as a witness in case we needed to file a formal complaint with the State Attorney General and/or fill a claim with the court. Fortunately, he had subcontracted with Executive Moving from Las Vegas and their driver,Eli, was outstanding! We would NEVER do business with Moving Mania based solely on the unprofessional and threatening interaction with Lior. Fortunately and through no effort on their part, our item was not damaged in transit.

Long-distance move from Georgia to Virginia

Lior (the Owner) Totally Disrespectful.

On Fri. Dec. 30, 2016 I called customer service at 9am and spoke with Nicole regarding the delivery of my furniture in Virginia. I informed her that I needed to get the status of my furniture that was picked up on Tuesday as it was scheduled to arrive on Friday, Dec. 30th. Nicole informed me that she will give me a call within 15 minutes. At 12 noon I called back since I had not heard back from Nicole so I called and spoke with Lior. I informed him of my question and he proceeded to say I will receive my items on Tuesday, January 3rd. I informed him that this was not agreed upon at booking and when my deposit was taken. This wasn't mentioned until day of when they were their to pick up my items. Loir proceeded to take a bad turn he stated "Look we will get you your stuff on Tuesday and who told you that, so I then informed him of the person who told me that." I stated I have to have my items by Sunday and this was not agreed upon. He stated, "look we have 21 days to delivery your stuff what do u think we are stealing your stuff." He cut me off several times saying can you hear me or are you not able to understand my language. I ask to speak with someone else or a manager he told me no you will not talk to anyone else and he threaten to hang up and stated now we will not send your stuff. I said please let me speak to Nicole and proceeded to say ok and drop the phone as he talked about me in the background and yelling at nicole and the team. Then he stated she will call you and he hung up. I spoke with Nicole and she said I apologize he is the dispatcher and she remembers our conversation and she will call me by end of day on Friday to let me know as she know I am pressed for time. At 6pm same day they are closed and I have received no call. This is not the service that I expected. I expect a business to follow through on their word. As I am sure your company is aware that moving is one of the most stressful events that one can endure. I now feel like that I was guaranteed a delivery date of Dec. 30 just to gain my business. The service level has been poor at the worst. Finally 5 days after original delivery date my items were delivered by a separate company (which means my items were moved to another company without my permission). When the delivery guy arrived he moved an entire apartment of items alone. My tv stand and dishes were broken. Also my furniture is scratched.

I spent nearly $3100 for this service and I reviewed the this company to find Lior was the Manager (WOW).. LIOR was completely disrespectful and after my research I am not the only one who experiences his behavior.

Long-distance move from Tampa, FL to Denver, CO

Absolutely Terrible.

This company is absolutely terrible. Every aspect of the process has been a nightmare. As soon as they have your deposit, don't expect to hear from them again, you have to proactively call them multiple times in order to get any information. Here are some low-lights from my experience with this company:
Cost: I described, in detail, including dimension, every piece of furniture and the number of boxes I was moving. When the movers showed up, they charged me TRIPLE what the original estimate was.
Pick up: I gave a pick up window of one week (this was 7 weeks in advance). As the weekend approached, I had to call multiple times in order to be given a pickup date and time. I was told the movers would arrive Sunday, between 11-1. I wait for the movers ALL DAY Sunday, calling multiple times, but no one is in the office to answer me. Finally, I was able to reach the driver, who told me that he was on the way to my location, and would be there in an hour (this was at 4:45 PM..the window was 11AM-1PM). 2 Hours later, no one has shown up, and I can't get a hold of anyone. At this point I conclude that I've been scammed and no one is coming. Finally, the driver calls me back, gives some excuse, and says he'll be there in an hour. He doesn't show up until 10PM! And then after looking at the items to be moved, decides he'll start the following morning. I'm told they will be back FIRST THING the next morning at 7 AM. They don't show up until 8AM. The foreman charges me triple the estimate and then leaves, never to return again for the day. Only 1 mover is there for the next 3 hours, which he spends wrapping the furniture in blankets as slowly as possible. Finally, 3 other movers show up, and the truck gets loaded. However, the foreman (who left hours earlier) did not pay the movers, so they refuse to leave until they are paid. I have to call Moving Mania dozens of times to get this all sorted out. The movers were at my apartment for 8 HOURS. I have a 1 bedroom apartment.
Delivery date: It is has been one week and they don't even have an estimate for delivery date.

DO NOT HIRE THEM!!

Long-distance move from Palm Harbor, FL to Cleveland, OH

Customers Beware.

If you use this company, beware of deceptive practices by the original salesman (in this case “David”). Before making my final decision, I had 4 telephone conversations and he understood my entire situation. I was promised delivery of my furniture on February 3rd with the salesman knowing I was starting a new job in a new state.
After picking up my furniture, it ended up in a warehouse in South Florida for a week, finally arriving on February 10th. Upon contacting the salesman for assistance, he informed me he could not help me anymore and all call had to be routed to dispatch. Both parties stated there was language in the contract yet the salesman neglected to inform me after 4 separate conversations. Does this sound like someone who was looking out for my best interest?
Also, during the initial contact with the salesman, he insured me that his company does not put jobs out for bid, that, their experienced drivers will complete the delivery. However, to my surprise, this company did bid my job to another moving company. Plus, the driver requested an additional $300.00 above the agreed upon contract price.
In conclusion, this company is not very trustworthy and my salesman was by no means an ethical customer service professional looking out for his customers. I would never refer this company to anyone – future customers – beware and read the fine print.
